Julia Maxwell is part of the Commercial Real Estate and Banking Group of Mahaffey Pickens Tucker, LLP. Her practice includes representing clients in the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, and development of all types of improved and unimproved commercial real estate and a variety of corporate transactional matters.
Ms. Maxwell received her Juris Doctor degree from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and obtained seven CALI Awards for Excellence in various transactional law classes. While in law school, Ms. Maxwell served as the President of the Mercer Technology and Intellectual Property Law Society and was a pupil of the Atlanta IP Inn of Court. Additionally, Ms. Maxwell worked as a corporate in-house counsel extern for The Home Depot and as a clerk for Georgia Court of Appeals Judge Elizabeth Gobeil.
Ms. Maxwell received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Ballet Performance from the University of South Carolina with minors in Finance, Business Administration, and Economics in 2020. In her free time, Ms. Maxwell enjoys spending time with her family and dogs where she resides in the Athens area.
